WHAT TO DO IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE A CASE FOR…

 

I. UNPAID WAGES (minimum wage and overtime)

A. Gather originals or copies of the following documents:

i. Pay stubs or pay statements;
ii. Written employment agreement or contract (if one exists);
iii. Time sheets, time cards or other records of hours worked;
iv. Pay rate notices;
v. Hire letter (if one exists);
vi. Personal records of hours worked (if they exist);
vii. Termination letter (if one exists);
viii. W-2s from former or current employer;
ix. Any written complaints to the employer of alleged underpayment;
x. Emails or writings from the employer regarding pay rates, polices or procedures;
xi. Collective bargaining agreement or union contract; and

II. UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE BENEFITS

A. Obtain a free copy of your complete file from the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board by calling the telephone number at the top of your Notice of Hearing with:

i. Administrative Law Judge case number; and
ii. Your social security number;

B. Fax your file to our office at866) 450-9512 along with the documentation in above for our review and we will contact you to discuss your case free of charge!

xiii. Any charges or complaints of discrimination filed against the employer; and
